Getting out some feelings about how people comment on games with the latest discourse on Helldivers 2 as well as Stellar Blade.

I’m okay with folks having an opinion, but it when people who haven’t played a game talk it down, it feels pretty bad.

It’s funny too cause you’ll scroll down the comment thread and then they say “Oh, I actually haven’t played but I’ve heard”, and it’s just a rabbit hole of misinformation. I wish I understood the reasoning behind why people feel the need to do this. Is it to get attention? Is it to feel validated by having an opinion that matches the majority? I don’t understand.

This is basically why I play any MMO under the sun before commenting on it. If it’s bad or good, I want to experience it for myself before making a judgement. Sorta like trying new food. Gotta taste it before I make a decision on it.
